BIG news: we’re moving! We put an offer on a short sale 3 months ago and as of today the house is ours! We’ve been waiting so long it still doesn’t feel real to me. Especially since we’re still waiting . . . hoping to get the call to come pick up the keys any minute now. The waiting is hard – I am fairly patient, but now that we’re down to the very end it’s almost unbearable . . .
Regardless, we’re all very excited and it’s a short move – just up the hill really. We’ll be in a great neighborhood; lots of kids and a few blocks from both George’s preschool and Jane’s school. And it’s a newer house so there’s not much for us to do but move in. We do plan to paint and I’ve been thinking a lot about color lately.
Obsessing about color is probably more accurate . . . Kids are so much more decisive - Jane is confident we should paint every room violet! At least the kids’ rooms are ready to go – one is pink and the other’s blue. I probably wouldn’t have gone that route, but we’ve decided to embrace it – and both kids are ecstatic. They probably won’t be so happy with whatever color we decide to paint the exterior, as there is a house down the street literally painted like a rainbow. We’re definitely not going to be able to top that. George keeps asking when we’re going to move to the rainbow house :)
